Preflight
Quality Impressions is a complete provider of digital prepress services featuring the latest technology in electronic file manipulation, scanning and digital imaging. Preflighting helps us identify problems before they tie up our time and equipment. It is used to discover incomplete or missing files and fonts, improper bleeds, incorrect page sizes, and much more before the job is printed to film.

Saving Files
Now that you have made all the necessary changes to your file(s) it is time to put it all on a disk for Quality Impressions. It is important to make sure the disks contain all the files used in your document. This includes layout files, as well as the linked files. We cannot print your documents without all of the necessary links. Also, we may not have all of your fonts on our computers, so it is important that you include all fonts used in your file. Files can be saved on a CD, DVD or smaller files (3 mgs or less) can be e-mailed to us. Trapping
The stretching and distortion of the paper as it moves through the press causes a problem on print jobs with more than one color. This problem is easily fixed by a procedure called trapping. Trapping will slightly overlap the edges of colors in your document, preventing gaps from appearing in the final printed piece. Here at Quality Impressions we use Rampage Work Flow System as our trapping software. Trapping is usually done as part of the preflighting process and ensures the quality of your finished piece.
